Romário Freitas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Pedro Valle made a huge save. When Betinho Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Badalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Garcia couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Velloso's late challenge caught a Badalo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Diamantino Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Badalo's Pedro Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Badalo from getting a goal against them. Romário Freitas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Valle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Freitas got free with Pedro Valle in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romário Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pedro Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badalo's Pedro Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Badalo from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute Pedro Seco managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Hortêncio Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hortêncio Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Mattao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Romário Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inácio Bezerra made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Badalo's zone, Romário Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Valle came out of the goal and Romário Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Gil Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Seco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Valle. Badalo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gil Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Badalo's Jorge Madureira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fellipe da Silveira. That made the score 1-1 after 73 minutes of play. After 79 minutes, Inácio Bezerra made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Badalo's Pedro Valle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Mattao SS fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Mattao SS's Inácio Bezerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mattao SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Badalo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
