Clóvis Valadares started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Red Falcons booed when Itapoan SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Negri's late challenge caught a Itapoan SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Negri helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Red Falcons fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Itapoan SS's Álvaro Tinoco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Allan de Lima. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís Pereira got free with Allan de Lima in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute Thiago de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luís Pereira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Itapoan SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Allan de Lima made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Thiago de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. André Luís Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan de Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Michel Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Red Falcons's Allan de Lima got control of the ball when André Luís Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 played minutes Red Falcons got a freekick which was hit by Renato Negri. A hard shot by Álvaro Tinoco from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Allan de Lima's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 34 minutes into the match, André Luís Pereira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Red Falcons's Allan de Lima. Allan de Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clóvis Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thiago de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Allan de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapoan SS. 44 minutes into the match, Thiago de Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Allan de Lima, 3-0. If Clóvis Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

With his leg Paulo Renato Prestes managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Red Falcons's Michel Pitta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clóvis Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Rodrigues hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Allan de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Thiago de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Falcons's Allan de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Augusto Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Michel Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thiago de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Allan de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Pitta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 76th playminute. Thiago de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan de Lima having to interfere. Itapoan SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Red Falcons for a fine match.
