After having played for 8 minutes, Álvaro Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erik Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Japi's Delfim Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armandinho Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luiz Fabiano Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Luiz Fabiano Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Japi's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Marinho. Téo Oliveira's late challenge caught a Japi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Téo Oliveira helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Procopio FC got a freekick which was hit by Téo Oliveira. In the 45th minute, Luís Paulo Vieira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Procopio FC's Armandinho Tande didn't even have to move. Armandinho Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão Nascimento went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Nascimento made a kick off. With his leg Armandinho Tande managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Japi's Delfim Abreu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 60 minutes into the match, Procopio FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Abreu. Delfim Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
