Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Cavalcante kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Paraense in the 4th minute of play forced Guerreiros FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Cavalcantes short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Rubens Cardoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano da Costa in the 58th minute of play forced Pacatiba's goalkeeper Rubens Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Rui Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Cardoso was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Rui Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Rui Cavalcante put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Rubens Cardoso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Cavalcante got free with Rubens Cardoso in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Flavinho Corrêa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Cardoso. Pacatiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavinho Corrêa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Rubens Cardoso was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Rui Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Cavalcante in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Rubens Cardoso made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Cavalcante in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Cardoso saved Pacatiba from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Durval Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubens Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Flavinho Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guerreiros FC played a much better game than Pacatiba and deserved their victory. The Pacatiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
