With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elano de Lara in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio de Senna saved Ibipetum from getting behind. Luciano Vander came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibipetum's Walmir Arce. But to his dismay, Walmir Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Ferreira in the 22nd minute of play forced Ricardo FC's goalkeeper Luciano Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Ibipetum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elano de Lara made a kick off. Paulo Silva hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibipetum's goalkeeper Emílio de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gil Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio de Senna having to interfere. Paulo Silva hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If João Francisco Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Ibipetum got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Silveira. Douglas Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Elano de Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibipetum's Emílio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ibipetum's Paulo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Hortêncio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibipetum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hortêncio Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Luciano Vander made a huge save. Ibipetum were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
