Oscar Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Baltazar Britto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dráusio Pereira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dráusio Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dharma-Dharma's Donato Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Nascimento in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas de Lara in the 15th minute of play forced Dharma-Dharma's goalkeeper Donato Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas de Lara struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Donato Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucuma. Gildo Pombal's late challenge caught a Tucuma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gildo Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Dharma-Dharma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Pombal to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Tucuma's Silas Eger tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carlos Eduardo Maranhense hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Chicão Vander fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dharma-Dharma's protests and gave Chicão Vander a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Dharma-Dharma got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Vander. Jonas de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Donato Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anselmo Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Pereira having to interfere. The supporters of Tucuma booed when Dharma-Dharma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas de Lara was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Jonas de Lara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donato Madureira. The goal made the score 0-1. Jonas de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Brodel in the 70th minute of play forced Dharma-Dharma's goalkeeper Donato Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Madureira made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Belmiro Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Belmiro Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Donato Madureira made a huge save. Oscar Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Tucuma's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Meirelles came free, but Dráusio Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tucuma's zone, Anselmo Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Pereira came out of the goal and Anselmo Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas Eger hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Dharma-Dharma's Donato Madureira got control of the ball when Belmiro Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tucuma had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
