The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Massui FC's José Paulo de Godoi got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Maurício Félix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prospera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 8th minute of the match Ernani Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saturnino Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Prospera FC's Saturnino Torres got control of the ball when José Vítor Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Humberto Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospera FC's Maurício Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Prospera FC's Saturnino Torres got control of the ball when José Vítor Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. When José Vítor Barros came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Massui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Barros couldn't finish the play. Maurício Félix hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Prospera FC's Maurício Félix fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Humberto Botelho was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Massui FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 26thth minute of the game Maurício Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Massui FC's Humberto Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st match minute, Prospera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Bastos to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th play minute José Vítor Barros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Saturnino Torres. 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Prospera FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Vítor Barros. Diogo Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Massui FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Moreno. Maurício Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Gomes made a kick off. If Marcus Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When José Vítor Barros came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Massui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Barros couldn't finish the play. Prospera FC's Saturnino Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Barros in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Maurício Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Botelho was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Massui FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Félix came free, but Humberto Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Prospera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Eduardo Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute of the match Gerson Leme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Botelho skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Prospera FC booed when Massui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Massui FC's Humberto Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Massui FC from getting a goal against them. Marcus Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Humberto Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Félix in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Botelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Bastos got free with Humberto Botelho in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saturnino Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, Massui FC's José Paulo de Godoi got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Prospera FC's Carlos Eduardo Bastos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Prospera FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
