Sub 23's Durvalino do Nascimento came free and shot a quick shot against goal 68 minutes in the game, fortunately Christian Mendonça had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Paiva in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Lopes saved Santos Futebol C. Sub 23 from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durvalino do Nascimento got free with Christian Mendonça in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute Ģederts Gerens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Santos Futebol C. Santos Futebol C. Sub 23 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
