Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Willian Veiga started the match with the kick off. Israel Bernard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Sarmento having to make a save. In the 5th minute, Flavinho Netto made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Meira. Esquia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Israel Bernard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Sarmento was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Israel Bernard in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Sarmento saved Caririmirim from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Esquia's zone, Willian Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Meira came out of the goal and Willian Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Esquia defense, Flavinho Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Meira. The Esquia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Meira should have stopped the shot. The Caririmirim fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Caririmirim's Willian Veiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the match, Israel Bernard notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Caririmirim's Tony Sarmento. Tony Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Caririmirim's zone, Israel Bernard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Sarmento came out of the goal and Israel Bernard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Tony Sarmento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Bernard's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Marcus Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Veiga in the 54th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Esquia's goalkeeper Marcus Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavinho Netto. Flavinho Netto in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcus Meira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Caririmirim booed when Esquia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caririmirim's Tony Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Bernard in the 65th minute of play. Marcus Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Moreira's late challenge caught a Caririmirim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esquia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. José Moreira hit a great ball. Flavinho Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Caririmirim's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Bernard came free, but Tony Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Meira made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Flavinho Netto sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Willian Veiga took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Marcus Meira to make any attempt to save it. 84 minutes into the match, Esquia's Urbano Tonio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Esquia's Marcus Meira got control of the ball when Flavinho Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jonathan das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquia's protests and gave Jonathan das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Jonathan das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caririmirim played a much better game than Esquia and deserved their victory. The Esquia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
