Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giovanni da Silveira started the match with the kick off. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tomatemáticos F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Pitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Caririmirim's Willian Veiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Pitta. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. Sílvio Trevisan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to Caririmirim getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leonel Trigo hit a great ball. Tony Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni da Silveira in the 37th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willian Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomatemáticos F.C.'s Giovanni da Silveira took a good shot, in the 51st minute, which hit the crossbar above Tony Sarmento's head, and flew over the goal. Caririmirim's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Tomatemáticos F.C.. After a defensive mix-up in Caririmirim's zone, Giovanni da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Sarmento came out of the goal and Giovanni da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Giovanni da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tomatemáticos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni da Silveira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Tomatemáticos F.C.'s Sílvio Luís Massa got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Flavinho Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caririmirim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Oscar Trancoso had to leave the field with a concussion. Cauã Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauan Madureira during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kauan Madureira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Caririmirim booed when Tomatemáticos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Netto in the 83rd minute of play forced Tomatemáticos F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomatemáticos F.C.'s Frank Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Veiga in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Flavinho Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Caririmirim booed when Tomatemáticos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st match minute, Tomatemáticos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Caririmirim were victorious despite being under pressure from Tomatemáticos F.C. for much of the match.
