The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses Mendonça got free with Tomé Peres in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Pinare FC's Tomé Peres got control of the ball when Ulysses Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 84th play minutes Frank Loyola shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Délio Mandrak and just under the crossbar into goal. 90 minutes into the game, Luizinho Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pinare FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caitau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
