Josué Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Davi Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ibicare AD booed when Sebastopol AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Quaresma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Elano Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davi Vianna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Quaresma in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute Elano Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Josué Quaresma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sebastopol AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Quaresma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
