Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Armandinho Porto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fábio Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Osmar Furtado managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Monica's Fábio Lago fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Monica getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Fábio Lago hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Armandinho Porto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Osmar Furtado, 1-0. A collision led to Pariry getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bernardo Moreira hit a great ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pariry's goalkeeper Osmar Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Fábio Lago came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Monica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Lago couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pariry's Ivo Sousa got a free kick in the 18th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Pariry's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Porto came free, but Osmar Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pariry's zone, Armandinho Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Furtado came out of the goal and Armandinho Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pariry's Osmar Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Pariry from getting a goal against them. Osmar Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Porto in the 42nd minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Bernardo Moreira made the kick off in the second half. Toninho Varela took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osmar Furtado. Pariry's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Pariry's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Porto came free, but Osmar Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pedro Veloso's late challenge caught a Monica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Pedro Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monica booed when Pariry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osmar Furtado came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Monica's Fábio Lago. But to his dismay, Fábio Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armandinho Porto in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osmar Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osmar Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armandinho Porto went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Monica's Armandinho Porto in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pariry's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute, Fábio Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osmar Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armandinho Porto went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute, Aílton Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agnaldo de Andrade was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Pariry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Passos to maneuver through the defense. Rony Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 played minutes Pariry got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Veloso. Osmar Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pariry's goalkeeper Osmar Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monica had played much better football throughout.
