Víktor Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute André de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Luz in the 22nd minute of play forced Iraceminha's goalkeeper Erivaldo Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Tasso having to interfere. When Marcinho Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the PALHAÇADA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Vianna couldn't finish the play. Betão Catarinense hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Víktor Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Róbson Guedes went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Iraceminha getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ernesto Xavier hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Délio Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Délio Luz was the one to do the kick off. After 53rd play minutes Róbson Guedes shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Víktor Tasso and just under the crossbar into goal. When Rodolfo Negri fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PALHAÇADA FC's protests and gave Rodolfo Negri a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 minutes, Róbson Guedes made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. PALHAÇADA FC's Víktor Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Iraceminha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
