The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Anísio Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Babylonia SS got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Souto. Babylonia SS's Humberto Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernani Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Luz in the 69th minute of play. Delfim de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Tasso having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Delfim de Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Víktor Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Humberto Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes, Pedrinho Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PALHAÇADA FC and the Babylonia SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, PALHAÇADA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Borges to maneuver through the defense. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PALHAÇADA FC's goalie and right to Amadeu Mendonça. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PALHAÇADA FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Babylonia SS fully deserved thier win.
