Superagui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camargos Esporte Clube the free kick. The supporters of Camargos Esporte Clube booed when Superagui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Magno Passos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Telmo Coelho. The goal made the score 1-0. Telmo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Hoffmann in the 18th minute of the match. Zé Carlos Vergílio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Magno Passos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Coelho was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Superagui's Dalmo Paraibano got a free kick in the 44th minute. Superagui's Telmo Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Superagui from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Pedro Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Velloso hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Magno Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Fabiano Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Superagui's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hílton Torres in the 76th minute. Telmo Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Passos went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Telmo Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Sabóia in the 94th minute of play. Superagui's Telmo Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Sabóia in the 96th minute of play.
