Eriberto Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Puei's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Fonseca came free, but Eriberto Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, João Francisco Aparecido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puei's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Aparecido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Aparecido in the 36th minute of play forced Toledos SS's goalkeeper Dadá Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toledos SS's Dadá Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Aparecido in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Puei defense, Evaristo Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Silveira. The Puei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Silveira should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 54 minutes, Cássio Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puei and the Toledos SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Puei got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Toscano. After having played for 55 minutes, Zé Augusto Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tião Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dadá Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Puei's goalkeeper Eriberto Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbson Pereira. Dadá Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Toledos SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
