Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andrézinho Maranhense took the kick off in the first half of the match. Andrézinho Maranhense scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Paulo Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Saraiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. When Andrézinho Maranhense got free in front of the goal in the 8th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luís Paulo Vargas was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bruninho Capixaba hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Maroc's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Maranhense came free, but Luís Paulo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruninho Capixaba scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinícius Favoretto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17thth minute of the game Andrézinho Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maroc's Luís Paulo Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Maroc's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Maranhense came free, but Luís Paulo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruninho Capixaba hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Maroc's Denílson Coutinho got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 27th minute Olavo Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Maroc booed when CHAPECOENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, CHAPECOENSE's Cássio Hames seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cássio Hames the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CHAPECOENSE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cássio Hames had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CHAPECOENSE! José Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luís Paulo Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Luís Paulo Vargas made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when José Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maroc's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Vargas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afonsinho Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Maroc's Anselmo Correia got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Pimenta to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, José Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Paulo Vargas. Maroc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Vinícius Favoretto was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Olavo Pimenta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olavo Pimenta really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When José Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the CHAPECOENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Saraiva couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luís Paulo Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CHAPECOENSE's Claudinho Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonsinho Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinícius Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Linares in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Saraiva in the 83rd minute of play forced Maroc's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hamílton Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If José Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, José Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Paulo Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. When the referee ended the match the CHAPECOENSE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
