Edgard Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hotspur D. Discove's zone, Edgard Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho Quadros came out of the goal and Edgard Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Sandrinho Quadros managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Red Dragons FC West's Zé Paulo Pinheiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Red Dragons FC West's Murilo de Amaral got a free kick in the 37th minute. Tião Carneiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júnior Jacinto. Red Dragons FC West's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Red Dragons FC West getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Giovani Araújo hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes, Hotspur D. Discove's Tião Carneiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júnior Jacinto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hotspur D. Discove reached it. 43 minutes into the match, Red Dragons FC West's Edgard Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandrinho Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hotspur D. Discove's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Zé Paulo Pinheiro scored to the left of an out of position Sandrinho Quadros, making the score, 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisinho Recife made a kick off. Edgard Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hotspur D. Discove's zone, Zé Paulo Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho Quadros came out of the goal and Zé Paulo Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Edgard Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When Edgard Leão came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Red Dragons FC West fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Leão couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Zé Paulo Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho Quadros was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cordarin Irureta during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Zé Paulo Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho Quadros was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Sandrinho Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Pinheiro in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Hotspur D. Discove's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Leão came free, but Sandrinho Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Red Dragons FC West had played much better football throughout.
