Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mazinho Bastos kicked off to start the match. Juvenal Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Válter Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguatuba. Afonso Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Vides having to interfere. Válter Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguatuba's Elivélton Massa got a free kick in the 11th minute. Manfredo Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Agenor Neiva made a huge save. When Afonso Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Uruguatuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Travassos couldn't finish the play. If Juvenal Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Afonso Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Válter Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Travassos in the 27th minute of play forced Diamantino's goalkeeper Válter Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agenor Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfredo Esteves in the 33rd minute. Agenor Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Bastos in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Magalhães in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Vides saved Diamantino from getting behind. Manfredo Esteves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Agenor Neiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Mazinho Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 46 in the game by Manfredo Esteves from a close distance when the talented Agenor Neiva managed to make a qualified save. Uruguatuba's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Juvenal Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. Válter Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Válter Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Magalhães in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Mazinho Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguatuba's Agenor Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Juvenal Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamantino's Válter Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severino Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Armindo Cordeiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agenor Neiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Afonso Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Válter Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agenor Neiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazinho Bastos's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Mazinho Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agenor Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Válter Vides came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguatuba's Afonso Travassos. But to his dismay, Afonso Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 86th minute Manfredo Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agenor Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguatuba's Agenor Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Esteves in the 94th minute of play. Agenor Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Esteves in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Uruguatuba eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
