In the 12th minute, Itaipu's Rodrigo Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frédson Ceresso. Frédson Ceresso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Murillo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Araújo having to interfere. A collision led to Blessed Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rogério Santos hit a great ball. With a little luck, Blessed Foot Ball Club's Frédson Ceresso got control of the ball when Murilo Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Itaipu's Rodrigo Oliveira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Andrézinho Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Blessed Foot Ball Club's Frédson Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Oliveira in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. 70 minutes into the game, Téo Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blessed Foot Ball Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaipu the free kick. After a rather tough play, Blessed Foot Ball Club's Téo Cruz got a free kick in the 70th minute. Murilo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Murilo Freire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frédson Ceresso was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Murilo Freire took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frédson Ceresso. Frédson Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 80 minutes of play, Itaipu's Rodrigo Oliveira made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frédson Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murilo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodrigo Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Oliveira in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frédson Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Blessed Foot Ball Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Itaipu.
