The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuca Vieira took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês Teixeira. When Júlio Castro fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Raposo Esporte Clube's protests and gave Júlio Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Júlio Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Varela scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juarês Teixeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Raposo Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marcelo Varela hit a great ball. Abel Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Messias in the 16th minute of play. Samuca Vieira hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Marcelo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Laudja getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sílvio Luiz Freire hit a great ball. A hard shot by Júlio Castro from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Juarês Teixeira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Abel Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cesinha Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Juarês Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino Messias in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 minutes, Diamantino Messias made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Raposo Esporte Clube's Abel Sena tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Hugo Luz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Laudja's Juarês Teixeira. Juarês Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raposo Esporte Clube's Abel Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Messias in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laudja players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Raposo Esporte Clube.
