A collision led to Guaribas getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Henrique Lago hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Albertinho Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mucana's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Carlos Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Matorin went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique de Souza was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Kiko Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaribas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albertinho Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Zé Carlos Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertinho Cardozo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Carlos Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jarbas Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaribas's protests and gave Jarbas Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mucana booed when Guaribas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Guaribas defense, Hélder Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Carlos Amorim. The Guaribas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Carlos Amorim should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Mucana's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Trevisan came free, but Doni Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaribas's Zé Carlos Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Cardozo in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Albertinho Cardozo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Carlos Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 96th minute Albertinho Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
