The referee ignored Jambeiro SS's protests and gave Cipriano Hames a yellow card for diving instead. Cipriano Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. André de Lima got his second yellow card in the match during the 48th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Raimundo Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play.
