The supporters of Baile booed when Freire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Sílvio Galvão rounded Freire's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Wesley de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baile the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ramón da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freire's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fellipe Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 34 minutes, Ramón da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Enéas Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Freire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Sousa couldn't finish the play. Freire's Ramón da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fellipe Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón da Cunha in the 57th minute of the match. When Enéas Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Freire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Sousa couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Freire's Fellipe Ortiz threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramón da Cunha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 73 minutes, Paulo Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Freire and the Baile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Sílvio Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Alvarenga having to interfere. A collision led to Freire getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rodriguinho Furlan hit a great ball. Fellipe Ortiz was a little too slow when Ramón da Cunha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-2. With his leg Fellipe Ortiz managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Freire's Enéas Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Baile fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Freire were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
