After 3 played minutes, Ciza's Benê Montenegro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Augusto Batista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ciza reached it. The supporters of Flores da Cunha FC booed when Ciza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Wilton Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Flores da Cunha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. If Wilton Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flores da Cunha FC's Leandro do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Travassos in the 82nd minute of play forced Flores da Cunha FC's goalkeeper José Augusto Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Abraão having to interfere. A collision led to Ciza getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mané Bittencourt hit a great ball. Delfim Coutinhos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Arthur Abraão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Francisco Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flores da Cunha FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
