After a rather tough play, Traipu EC's Washington Neto got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Arruda came free, but Lenílson Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauan Santos in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenílson Senna saved Ronaldinho Soccer 97™ from getting behind. Enio de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Marcinho de Alcântara made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s zone, Cauan Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Senna came out of the goal and Cauan Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cauan Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lenílson Senna having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Cacá Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lenílson Senna. Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cacá Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Enio de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcinho de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enio de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Traipu EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cauan Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Traipu EC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dieguinho Zanette hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marcinho de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Traipu EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Marcinho de Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Queiroz went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Marcinho de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cauan Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lenílson Senna. That made the score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. If Luís Fábio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Soccer 97™'s goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Santos came free, but Lenílson Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Dionísio in the 82nd minute of the match. Cristiano Teixeira hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Enio de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcinho de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Cacá Arruda struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Lenílson Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Traipu EC. If Cauan Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
