If Marcos Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Time Em Manutenção's Marcos Neto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedrão de Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Twenty-fifth Club booed when Time Em Manutenção was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Time Em Manutenção's Abelardo Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dênis Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Saldanha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Time Em Manutenção's Marcos Neto made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrão de Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Geovani Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian Penha struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pedrão de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Time Em Manutenção. Abelardo Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Pedrão de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Time Em Manutenção's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abelardo Maciel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
