After 8 played minutes, Alho's Luiz Fernando Miranda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulysses Toscano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alho reached it. In the 13th match minute, Alho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Acácio Prestes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Téo Tinoco got free with Agenor Brodel in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centro Sportivo Alagoano's goalkeeper Ulysses Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcus Vidal struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ulysses Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alho. Ulysses Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Acácio Prestes took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulysses Toscano. Ulysses Toscano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Acácio Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Acácio Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. Elano Amaral's late challenge caught a Centro Sportivo Alagoano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Centro Sportivo Alagoano booed when Alho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agenor Brodel made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Reynaldo Motta sent off a good shot on target. Marcus Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ulysses Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Téo Tinoco was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Acácio Prestes notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Centro Sportivo Alagoano's Ulysses Toscano. Ulysses Toscano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Acácio Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agenor Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Carlos Eduardo Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulysses Toscano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Acácio Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alho's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Eduardo Abreu scored 0-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute of the match Luiz Fernando Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Toscano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alho's goalkeeper Agenor Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Acácio Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Acácio Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute, Reynaldo Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centro Sportivo Alagoano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Alho's Agenor Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Breckenfeld in the 81st minute of play. Acácio Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reynaldo Motta's late challenge caught a Alho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Motta helped the player get up and apologised. Reynaldo Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Alho's Teodoro Meirelles tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marcus Vidal hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Agenor Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Motta in the 94th minute of play. With his leg Ulysses Toscano managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Alho's Acácio Prestes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
