Gláuber Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Pinheirinho's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Munhoz came free, but Jonas Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Orlando Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Pinheirinho's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Rodrigues came free, but Jonas Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Loyola got free with Leopoldo Velasco in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Velasco was a little too slow when Daniel Loyola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas da Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Candeiras FC defense, Gláuber Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Velasco. The Candeiras FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Velasco should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Daniel Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Munhoz in the 70th minute of play forced Pinheirinho's goalkeeper Jonas Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Pinheirinho's Jonas Furlan got control of the ball when João Adolfo Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Candeiras FC's zone, Daniel Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Velasco came out of the goal and Daniel Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Candeiras FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Germano Aguiar hit a great ball. Orlando Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
