Pedro Luiz Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Botelho in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Viana in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luiz Amorim saved Estrias from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibúrcio Vieira got free with Chiquinho Pombal in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Matheus Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored clube da esperança's protests and gave Matheus Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. Matheus Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. clube da esperança's Durval Viana managed to work through Estrias's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Durval Viana dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Chants of Estrias echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as clube da esperança had held the ball for most of the match.
