The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maraman Bendicho might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maraman Bendicho ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Maraman Bendicho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Pontes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Nilton Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maraman Bendicho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Luizão Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luizão Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luizão Souza hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, S.E.Chora Neném's Patrick Bezerra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Anajaz AD's goal looked a bit too open when Edmund Kaminski came free, but Conrado Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmund Kaminski struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Conrado Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.Chora Neném. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maraman Bendicho in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Pontes saved Anajaz AD from getting behind. Anajaz AD's Conrado Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Djorkaeff in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, S.E.Chora Neném's Youri Djorkaeff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Germano da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Youri Djorkaeff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maraman Bendicho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the game, Edmund Kaminski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Conrado Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maraman Bendicho in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Germano da Fonseca made a kick off. With an all-out effort, S.E.Chora Neném's Conrado Pontes threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Enio de Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Maraman Bendicho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Pontes was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Anajaz AD's Germano da Fonseca got a free kick in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Youri Djorkaeff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conrado Pontes. That made the score 0-4 in the 61 minute of play. Edmund Kaminski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Anajaz AD's zone, Maraman Bendicho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Pontes came out of the goal and Maraman Bendicho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maraman Bendicho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmund Kaminski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Pontes having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maraman Bendicho got free with Conrado Pontes in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 78 minutes, Maraman Bendicho made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Anajaz AD's Conrado Pontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maraman Bendicho in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Maraman Bendicho put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Conrado Pontes. Conrado Pontes stood somewhat misplaced when Maraman Bendicho came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 87 minute. After 89 played minutes S.E.Chora Neném got a freekick which was hit by Maraman Bendicho. When the match was over S.E.Chora Neném could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anajaz AD throughout the match.
