Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Arrastao's Marco Bittencourt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Athletic United FC's Cido Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Tande in the 4th minute of play. Holger Anzengruber came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Athletic United FC's Pedrão Teixeira. But to his dismay, Pedrão Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 12 minutes, Ademir Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athletic United FC and the Arrastao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademir Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marco Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cido Sá was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Cido Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Athletic United FC's Cido Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Athletic United FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Arrastao's zone, Pedrão Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Anzengruber came out of the goal and Pedrão Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Marco Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Holger Anzengruber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrastao's Holger Anzengruber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Teixeira in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Marco Bittencourt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cido Sá saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st minute Marco Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cido Sá made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Amílton Tande sent off a good shot on target. Athletic United FC's Cido Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Athletic United FC from getting a goal against them. Pedrão Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Anzengruber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Teixeira ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Arrastao's Tony Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Amílton Tande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cido Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cido Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Tande in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Marco Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Adelino Sampaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cido Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cido Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marco Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Tande in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Athletic United FC's Juan Porto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Bittencourt in the 74th minute of play forced Athletic United FC's goalkeeper Cido Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cido Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holger Anzengruber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cido Sá came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Arrastao's Amílton Tande. But to his dismay, Amílton Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 87 minutes of play, Arrastao's Amílton Tande made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cido Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Dedé Santos fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletic United FC's protests and gave Dedé Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Athletic United FC got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Santos. For all the effort they put into the match, the Athletic United FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arrastao.
