Carlos Fernando Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Dorival Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Santana F.C got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Reis. In the 17th minute, Frank Amaral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Fernando Sá. The goal made the score 1-1. Carlos Fernando Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ian Rezende received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Fernando Sá came out and tried to block the shot, but Ian Rezende slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 23rd minute. Armando Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Douglas Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Douglas Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clas Zierer in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Rezende got free with Carlos Fernando Sá in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santana F.C's Carlos Fernando Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Pires in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Armando Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santana F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Uruau's Douglas Cunha got control of the ball when Clas Zierer tried to sneak it across the goal line.
