Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edinho Loureiro kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Jairo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílton Marques struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Cesinha Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cepa. Marcelo Prado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Cesinha Soares 14 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Cepa's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Almeida came free, but Frederico Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Prado in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Soares saved Caraiva AD from getting behind. Mauro Vergílio hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Amílton Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesinha Soares having to make a save. In the 35th match minute, Caraiva AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. When Váldson Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caraiva AD's protests and gave Váldson Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cepa booed when Caraiva AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Amílton Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Caraiva AD's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Prado came free, but Cesinha Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Marcelo Prado made the kick off in the second half. Cesinha Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th match minute, Cepa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Cepa's Frederico Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Loureiro in the 55th minute of play. When Cepa's Marcelo Prado in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caraiva AD's goalie prevented a goal. Amílton Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Soares having to interfere. After some careless play in the Caraiva AD defense, Marcelo Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesinha Soares. The Caraiva AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesinha Soares should have stopped the shot. If Amílton Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Marcelo Prado made a precise shot to the right of Cesinha Soares. Caraiva AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 88 played minutes Cepa got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Lopez. For all the effort they put into the match, the Caraiva AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cepa.
