The supporters of Landi booed when Macayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vágner Reis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dé Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Dé Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Macayo's zone, Régis Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Salgado came out of the goal and Régis Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Landi's Dé Diniz in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macayo's goalie prevented a goal. Macayo's Enrique Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Macayo from getting a goal against them. José Carlos Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dé Diniz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Alves in the 56th minute of play forced Macayo's goalkeeper Enrique Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Salgado having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Americo Taurino made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Salgado. Macayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Enrique Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Diniz in the 70th minute of the match. Severino Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Carlos do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Macayo got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Linares. After some careless play in the Macayo defense, Dé Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Salgado. The Macayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Salgado should have stopped the shot. Severino Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Americo Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Salgado having to interfere. Severino Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Enrique Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Linares hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
