An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro de Souza in the 15th minute of play forced Os Paue Remji's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramiro de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Alberto Couto. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. Ramiro de Souza succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 21st playminute. After 25 played minutes Ramiro de Souza rounded Os Paue Remji's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. After a rather tough play, OUSADIA F.C.'s Oswaldo Fernandez got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gilvan Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in OUSADIA F.C.'s zone, Pedrão Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias da Costa came out of the goal and Pedrão Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Tróia to make the kick off. Carlos Alberto Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Oswaldo Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Os Paue Remji defense, José Augusto Félix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Couto. The Os Paue Remji fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Couto should have stopped the shot. If Célio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Os Paue Remji's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Teles came free, but Carlos Alberto Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ramiro de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OUSADIA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. With his leg Elias da Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Os Paue Remji's Gilvan Cerezo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias da Costa having to interfere. Jarbas Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias da Costa having to make a save. If Francisco Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Ramiro de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OUSADIA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Carlos Alberto Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Penha in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The OUSADIA F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Os Paue Remji had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
