Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulisses Camargo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes, Vladimir de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mec Machine and the Orion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vladimir de Almeida hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Luizinho Torres struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Claudinho Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mec Machine. Claudinho Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir de Almeida in the 10th minute. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Orion FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luizinho Torres was slow to take the kick. During this time Mec Machine's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mec Machine's corner Carlos Eduardo Xavier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claudinho Gaspar quite easily take care of the ball. Ulisses Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo da Costa having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Tomás Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Mec Machine's Francisco Félix got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Edmundo de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Ulisses Camargo made a precise shot to the right of Oswaldo da Costa. Mec Machine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Orion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Vidal came free, but Claudinho Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edmundo de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mec Machine's protests and gave Edmundo de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Vladimir de Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Vladimir de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo de Medeiros was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Mec Machine getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Edmundo de Medeiros hit a great ball. Claudinho Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimir de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Ulisses Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo da Costa having to interfere. The supporters of Mec Machine booed when Orion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th play minute Tomás Tavares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oswaldo da Costa. 1-3. In the 73rd minute, Vladimir de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinho Gaspar came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mec Machine's Luizinho Torres. But to his dismay, Luizinho Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Orion FC played a much better game than Mec Machine and deserved their victory. The Mec Machine players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
