Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) C.R Flamengo's Gláuber Rocha started the match with a crisp pass. The supporters of C.R Flamengo booed when Poti AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poti AD's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.R Flamengo's Wilson Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 minutes, Régis Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poti AD and the C.R Flamengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Poti AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dênis Paraense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luís Fernando Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Quirino in the 65th minute of the match. Nilton Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Sidney Trigo made a huge save. Natanael Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute.
