Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) Marcelo Amorim started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Túlio do Nascimento came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Surfers's Inácio Teixeira. But to his dismay, Inácio Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 19 minutes, Tiaguinho Schmidt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surfers and the Massaranduba EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiaguinho Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Donato Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Amorim in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, one of Surfers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Donato Branco, was totally fooled by Massaranduba EC's Jefferson Ramos, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Inácio Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Macedo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Túlio do Nascimento. Túlio do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 32 minutes into the match, Massaranduba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Teixeira came free, but Túlio do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serginho Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Marcelo Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Massaranduba EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. When Simão Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Massaranduba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Branco having to interfere. Massaranduba EC's Simão Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee gave Massaranduba EC a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jefferson Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Surfers's Donato Branco. 2-2. After having played for 75 minutes, Wiliam Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Surfers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Simão Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Massaranduba EC's Túlio do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Massaranduba EC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Massaranduba EC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jerônimo Linhares hit a great ball. Túlio do Nascimento was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Inácio Teixeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Inácio Teixeira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. The Surfers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
