Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laerte Ribeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With his leg Eugênio Figueiredo managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Oeiras AD's Christian do Vale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Christian do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eugênio Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Recife Pe's Eugênio Figueiredo got control of the ball when Christian do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Recife Pe's Téo de Andrade got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Zeca Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Oeiras AD's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Ribeiro came free, but Gino Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Recife Pe fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Recife Pe's Laerte Ribeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raimundo Vaz spun around in front of the goal 21 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Oeiras AD's goal. When Raimundo Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Recife Pe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Vaz couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oeiras AD's goalkeeper Gino Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Raimundo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro de Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gino Nóbrega. Oeiras AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute Laerte Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Laerte Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recife Pe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laerte Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Motta was the one to do the kick off. Recife Pe's Raimundo Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Raimundo Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recife Pe's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 played minutes Oeiras AD got a freekick which was hit by Christian do Vale. If Raimundo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71stth minute of the game Laerte Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oeiras AD's Gino Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oeiras AD's zone, Laerte Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Nóbrega came out of the goal and Laerte Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Christian do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Recife Pe's Raimundo Vaz. But to his dismay, Raimundo Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Doriva Diniz got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 94 played minutes Oeiras AD got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Diniz. If Raimundo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Recife Pe's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
