After a defensive mix-up in Mandioca FC's zone, Rafinha Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Saldanha came out of the goal and Rafinha Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wágner Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Faustão Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Rafinha Santana made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mandioca FC's Faustão Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nelson Recifes short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Sidney Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 36 minutes, Rafinha Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirataia EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafinha Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gilson Maciel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sidney Amorim was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Yan Souza hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Luís Fernando de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mandioca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Ibirataia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Maciel came free, but Sidney Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilson Maciel went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Elói Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Maciel in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Amorim saved Ibirataia EC from getting behind. A collision led to Ibirataia EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Adrianinho Lira hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Nelson Recife got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Gilson Maciel sped through Ibirataia EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidney Amorim. Nelson Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Amorim having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Santana in the 81st minute of play forced Mandioca FC's goalkeeper Faustão Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Gilson Maciel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibirataia EC's Sidney Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilson Maciel struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Sidney Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandioca FC. Mandioca FC's Faustão Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Santana in the 95th minute of play. Rafinha Santana did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-2 to the left of a surprised Faustão Saldanha 95 minutes into the match.
