If Tadeu do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jânio Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sucui's Jarbas Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sucui from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sucui's goalkeeper Jarbas Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Prado in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. Tadeu do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jarbas Lima made a huge save. In the 84th match minute, Cabrituba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Sucui's Jarbas Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Souto in the 91st minute of play. In the last second Jarbas Lima throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jânio Souto in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sucui's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kléber Machado was slow to take the kick. During this time Cabrituba FC's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Cabrituba FC's Silvério Pombal got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Sucui support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
