The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Porto having to make a save. Albertinho Nóbrega might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Nóbrega ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Juan Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Nóbrega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Porto was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. If Albertinho Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Valadares hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When Cabrituba FC's Tadeu do Vale in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Ajax Vargeana's goalie prevented a goal. If Juan Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Pombal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Fausto Porto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Silvério Pombal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Fausto Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Pombal in the 38th minute. FC Ajax Vargeana were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Cabrituba FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronaldinho Berger took the corner. The corner led FC Ajax Vargeana's Ronaldinho Berger to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cabrituba FC's zone, Juan Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Porto came out of the goal and Juan Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Ajax Vargeana booed when Cabrituba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jânio Souto to make the kick off. Albertinho Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Porto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Ajax Vargeana's Ronaldinho Berger got a free kick in the 59th minute. Albertinho Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fausto Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes FC Ajax Vargeana got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Esteves. In the 67th minute of the match Kléber Machado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles Bertassi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albertinho Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fausto Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Ajax Vargeana fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when FC Ajax Vargeana's Juan Pombal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fausto Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Albertinho Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Porto came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Ajax Vargeana's Juan Pombal. But to his dismay, Juan Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Fausto Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Porto having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Guto Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabrituba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ajax Vargeana the free kick. A collision led to Cabrituba FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Guto Porto hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Cabrituba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Pombal came free, but Fausto Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Fausto Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertinho Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that FC Ajax Vargeana were the better team. FC Ajax Vargeana's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
