Jânio Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Paes in the 3rd minute of play. If José Maria Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When 杜志彬 came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Triangulo Mineiro F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 杜志彬 couldn't finish the play. José Pedro Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Félix in the 10th minute of the match. 杜志彬 might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 杜志彬 ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 played minutes Curuzu got a freekick which was hit by Décio Leal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Décio Leal during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Curuzu getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Décio Leal hit a great ball. With his leg José Pedro Machado managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Triangulo Mineiro F. C.'s 杜志彬 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 37 minutes into the match, Curuzu's goalkeeper José Pedro Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 杜志彬. Guilherme Paraense hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ismael Terra hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of Triangulo Mineiro F. C. booed when Curuzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Décio Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramón Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Triangulo Mineiro F. C.'s Guilherme Paraense got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Ramos in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio Cerezo saved Triangulo Mineiro F. C. from getting behind. Curuzu's José Pedro Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 杜志彬 in the 63rd minute of play. 杜志彬 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Pedro Machado having to make a save. José Pedro Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 杜志彬 in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Túlio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Triangulo Mineiro F. C.'s Ramón Félix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Pedro Machado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Simão da Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão da Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by 杜志彬 in the 86th minute of play forced Curuzu's goalkeeper José Pedro Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Simão da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curuzu's José Pedro Machado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 杜志彬 struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. José Pedro Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Triangulo Mineiro F. C.. Luís Gustavo Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Cerezo having to interfere. Curuzu's José Pedro Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão da Costa in the 97th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Gustavo Paes got free with Jânio Cerezo in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee ended the match the Triangulo Mineiro F. C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
