In the 9th minute Yuri Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, one of Sousas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 15 minutes into the game, Sousas's Yuri Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomé Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Yuri Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tomé Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Celsinho Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st match minute, SALADA MANAUS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Tomé Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celsinho Silva went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sousas's Celsinho Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Celsinho Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Mazza was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Marco de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SALADA MANAUS FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sousas were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Celsinho Silva made the kick off in the second half. Tomé Mazza made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Yuri Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. Chiquinho Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Felippe Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SALADA MANAUS FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Bezerra in the 82nd minute of play forced Sousas's goalkeeper Felippe Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Celsinho Silva sped through SALADA MANAUS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomé Mazza. In the 90th minute, Yuri Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The Sousas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
