Fellipe Lima was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Adolfo Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pequy EC's Julian Dacio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Pequy EC's Rony Ortiz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Aílton Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Abel Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aílton Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Ramos having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aílton Paraibano's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Meditacao EC's Nuno Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Paraibano in the 70th minute of play. Nuno Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Guto Prado fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meditacao EC's protests and gave Guto Prado a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Meditacao EC! Rony Ortiz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Aílton Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Ramos having to interfere. Rubinho de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Rubinho de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pequy EC fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Pequy EC's Aílton Paraibano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rony Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Nuno Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pequy EC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pequy EC fully deserved thier win.
