Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paripe SC's Alexandre Bertassi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Paripe SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Severo came free, but Zé Paulo Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paripe SC's Zé Paulo Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Ramalho in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelsinho Pereira in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Paulo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Pereira in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nelsinho Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Aguiar was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The referee showed Manoel Mattos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paripe SC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Manoel Mattos hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Nicolas Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fofatoba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelsinho Pereira in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Aguiar saved Paripe SC from getting behind. If Nicolas Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Arí Catarinense put in a rough tackle. Paripe SC's Jairo Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Nicolas Severo made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, FC Fofatoba's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Bertassi came free, but Reynaldo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paripe SC reached it. Sidnei Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Aguiar having to interfere. Nicolas Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Zé Paulo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidnei Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Nelsinho Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fofatoba's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Sidnei Ramalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Paulo Aguiar. Sidnei Ramalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Neto during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jean Neto hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paripe SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Manoel Mattos hit a great ball. Paripe SC's Zé Paulo Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Paripe SC from getting a goal against them. FC Fofatoba's Nicolas Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Paripe SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Fofatoba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
