The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vitinho Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. David Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Dionísio's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute, Pacoca's César Dionísio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some careless play in the Fogo Dourado defense, Caio Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Guerra. The Fogo Dourado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Guerra should have stopped the shot. Jonas Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Fantini in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Pacoca got a freekick which was hit by Hélder França. Sílvio Luís Fantini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonas Cearense. Pacoca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Pacoca booed when Fogo Dourado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Fogo Dourado's goalkeeper David Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Pedro Tróia. Fogo Dourado's David Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Fogo Dourado from getting a goal against them. Caio Marquez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Pacoca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Fogo Dourado's Fred Fantini got a free kick in the 39th minute. Antônio Carlos Brasil struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. David Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacoca. Fogo Dourado's David Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Fogo Dourado from getting a goal against them. Gualter do Nascimento scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Cearense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Antônio Carlos Brasil made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fogo Dourado's Fred Fantini got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Brasil in the 54th minute of play forced Fogo Dourado's goalkeeper David Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Brasil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Guerra was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos Brasil took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Guerra. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Tróia couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Fogo Dourado's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Brasil came free, but David Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Antônio Carlos Brasil made a precise shot to the right of David Guerra. Fogo Dourado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. David Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Dionísio in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute, Antônio Carlos Brasil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pacoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. José Pedro Tróia might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pedro Tróia ran back to his position shaking his head. Joélson Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Caio Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. David Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pacoca fully deserved thier win.
