Guga de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vítor Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bernardo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauã Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Sílvio Luís Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rato EC's Bernardo Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Adrianinho Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Rato EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrianinho Lopes couldn't finish the play. If Joélson Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute of the match Nestor Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Cerezo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guga de Queirós was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Rubens Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Araguacu AD's Guga de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Cerezo in the 66th minute of play. Oscar Correia hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Guga de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
